Pakistan cricket legend Wasim Akram has expressed deep disappointment following Pakistan’s poor performance and shocking 2-0 Test series defeat to Bangladesh, a first in the nation’s cricket history.

The Green Shirts were swept aside, losing the second Test by six wickets at the Pindi Cricket Stadium after a 10-wicket thrashing in the first Test.

Speaking to a news wire, Akram was critical of Pakistan’s performance and voiced concerns about the country’s cricketing standards. “This is a huge setback, and our cricket is at a crossroads,” said Akram. “As a former player and captain, it’s embarrassing to see us lose from positions of strength. I simply don’t understand how it happened.”

Akram added, “Losing consistently at home raises serious questions about the quality of our cricket.”

Prior to Akram’s remarks, Javed Miandad also slammed Pakistan’s batting failures, praising Bangladesh for their disciplined display. “It’s painful to see our cricket at this low point. Credit to Bangladesh, but our batting collapse is a huge red flag,” Miandad stated.

Inzamam-ul-Haq echoed similar concerns, emphasizing the significance of home series. “Our home conditions used to be our stronghold, but for that, our batsmen need to step up and score runs,” Wasim Akram commented.
