Lahore: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Yawar Hussain has honoured Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of ACTIVIT and Director of National Hospital, DHA Lahore, in recognition of his contributions to sports development, athlete welfare and support for sporting initiatives across Pakistan.
During a meeting with the sports philanthropist and healthcare professional, the DG PSB appreciated his efforts to promote sports through sponsorships, medical and nutritional assistance, and collaboration with sports organisations. The recognition highlighted the importance of private-sector participation in strengthening Pakistan’s sporting infrastructure and providing athletes with essential support.
ACTIVIT recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the director of the PSB Coaching Centre in Lahore. The partnership aims to promote sports development, improve athlete support and explore joint initiatives to expand opportunities for aspiring and established players.
Hussain particularly acknowledged Rizwan’s sponsorship and support for the Independence Day celebrations held at the PSB Centre Lahore in August 2026. He also emphasised the value of sustained cooperation between public institutions and private organisations in creating better facilities and opportunities for athletes.
Rizwan’s involvement extends across several sporting disciplines, including assistance for athletes representing national sports federations and competing at domestic and international levels. His initiatives have included medical, nutritional and financial support, particularly during competition preparation and other demanding stages of an athlete’s career.
He has also expressed interest in sponsoring an international bodybuilding competition organised by the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation under the proposed title ACTIVIT Fitness Challenge. The proposed event aims to promote fitness and strength training while offering bodybuilders an opportunity to compete at an international level.
In recognition of his contributions, Rizwan was presented with a commemorative shield and a blazer of excellence by the DG PSB and the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation.
His work through ACTIVIT reflects the growing role of private-sector partnerships in addressing athletes’ healthcare, nutrition and competition-related needs. Such cooperation can help sports organisations provide more comprehensive support to players and create pathways for emerging talent.
