The youngest participants, particularly six- and eight-year-olds, drew special appreciation from spectators as they displayed confidence in the pool and benefited from months of coaching and practice. While some secured top positions, others showed considerable promise despite falling short of winning places.
Swimming Convenor Dr Ali Razzaque and the Swimming Captain, along with members of the Swimming Committee, were present throughout the competition, encouraging participants and observing the events closely. Dr Razzaque is expected to continue efforts to provide swimmers with greater opportunities for training, practice and competition.
The event was also attended by parents and grandparents, whose enthusiastic support added to the atmosphere. The performances highlighted a promising pool of young swimming talent and the potential for further improvement through sustained training and greater participation in competitive events.
