LAHORE (Abdul Basit): The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) has inaugurated two modern sports facilities for girls’ colleges in Islamabad, offering young students new avenues for physical development and teamwork.
Led by Federal Secretary IPC Mohyuddin Wani, Federal Parliamentary Secretary Kiran Imran Dar, and Director General Pakistan Sports Board Yasir Pirzada, the initiative includes a newly constructed Pedal Tennis Court at Islamabad College for Girls (ICG) F-8/1 and a state-of-the-art Futsal Ground at IMCG F-7/4. This development aligns with the government’s broader vision of encouraging a balanced, healthy lifestyle among students and enhancing sports culture at the grassroots level.
Speaking at the inauguration, Secretary IPC Mohyuddin Wani remarked: “Every week, we’re bringing positive news for the youth of Islamabad. Sports and students together shape a strong future. These facilities are a gift to our young generation, a step toward excellence beyond the classroom.”
He emphasised the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, adding: “We want to ensure every student in Islamabad has access to high-quality sports infrastructure. These are not just courts and grounds, they’re investments in the future of Pakistan.”
The newly launched facilities are expected to host inter-college tournaments, sports festivals, and regular student activities, fostering inclusivity and athletic excellence among young players.
