Lahore (Abdul Basit): Pakistan’s impressive batter Hasan Nawaz has expressed confidence in his teammates’ form and readiness ahead of the upcoming T20I Tri-Series against Afghanistan and the UAE, followed by the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025.

Speaking after an intrasquad practice match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Hasan Nawaz said the squad was in ‘good form’ and determined to carry this momentum into the two major assignments. “Fakhar Zaman played brilliantly, Abrar bowled and fielded outstandingly, and overall, the team is shaping up well. By the will of Almighty Allah, all of us are striving to continue this form for the tri-series and Asia Cup,” he remarked.

Hasan, who has represented Pakistan in 13 T20Is, starred in Agha XI’s victory over Saim XI in the practice fixture, where his powerful knock helped set up the win. In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Hasan and mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed reflected on the match, exchanging praise for each other’s performances. Abrar credited Hasan Nawaz and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris for their explosive batting, while Hasan lauded Abrar’s bowling and a sharp catch that restricted the opposition to a low total.

The Pakistan squad is currently training in Dubai in preparation for back-to-back competitions. The tri-nation T20I series will be played in Sharjah from August 29 to September 7, with Pakistan opening against Afghanistan on August 29 at 7:00 PM local time. The Asia Cup 2025 begins on September 9 with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong and concludes on September 28. Pakistan will start their campaign against Oman on September 12, followed by the much-anticipated clash with India on September 14.
